Q: Who built the Museum of the Future?

Founded by the Dubai Future Foundation, the Museum of the Future was designed by well-known Dubai-based architect Shaun Killa, while the engineering was undertaken by the integrated consultancy Buro Happold. According to Killa, the design of the museum represents Dubai’s vision of the future and consists of three main elements – the hill, structure and void.

Q: What is inside the Museum of the Future?

Inside the stunning Museum of the Future building is an equally awe-inspiring story, told across five chapters. When you start your tour, you'll go up to the fifth floor and enter a space station simulation to experience what life is like in outer space. Then as you go through the other chapters you'll see a futuristic view of Dubai and a rain forest, enjoy a peaceful oasis, learn about new technology – and finally enter a high-tech play area designed to inspire young ones.

Q: How long does it take to complete a full tour at the Museum of the Future?

It takes two to three hours to complete a full tour at the Museum of the Future. Visitors, however, can choose to stay as long as they wish during operational hours – there is plenty to see, read and enjoy across the fascinating museum's seven levels.
