Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

A distinctive centre for culture and knowledge in Dubai
closebackBack

Built along the historic Dubai Creek and designed in the shape of a traditional Islamic lectern, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library opened its doors to the public in June 2022. A landmark unique to Dubai, the library is the largest in the region and houses valuable books and cultural and educational resources that keep pace with the latest developments in research and academia.

Aside from enjoying the remarkable architecture and exploring the library's seven levels spanning 54,000sqm, visitors can explore a fully digitalised laboratory and several specialised collections inside. There's dedicated compilations for children, maps and atlases, media and the arts, periodicals and more.

Tap into wisdom at Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

The grand venue is home to over a million titles – available in more than 70 languages in both physical and digital forms. It also consists of study rooms, spaces for exhibits, a cafe, courtyard, bookstore and an indoor-outdoor theatre that can host up to 550 guests for special events.

Accessible to all and a wonderful addition to the city’s top spots for leisure and learning, the library also offers a membership programme for residents – much to the delight of Dubai’s avid readers. Adjacent to the scenic Jaddaf Waterfront, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library is also close to the Jameel Arts Centre, luxurious Palazzo Versace Dubai and laidback INK Hotel.
