The first Eid Al Etihad was celebrated on 2 December 1971. The celebrations were known as UAE National Day and this year marks the UAE's 53rd celebrations for Eid Al Etihad.

Q: Where to watch fireworks in Dubai?

From 1-3 December, watch the spectacular fireworks shows from Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR on 1 December. Hatta and Dubai Festival City Mall host incredible fireworks displays on 2 December. And, on the last day of the celebrations, on 3 December, head to the historic neighbourhood of Al Seef to watch enchanting fireworks take over the night time skies.

Q: Is Eid Al Etihad 53 a public holiday?

Yes. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) will officially announce the holiday dates for the 2024 celebrations soon.
