Bluewaters Island
Located across the water from Dubai Marina, Bluewaters Island is split into different areas across residential, retail, leisure and entertainment, hotels and beach clubs. The record-breaking Ain Dubai observation wheel is the centrepiece of the lifestyle destination, which has more than 200 retail and dining concepts.
The island is well worth a visit for simply a walk along its coast – an ideal vantage point for serene seafront perspectives of the mainland.

The manmade island is also home to Banyan Tree Dubai, a glamorous resort with a range of accommodation types and dining venues. Within the ultra-luxe hub, you’ll find the popular Asian restaurant Demon Duck by celebrity chef Alvin Leung, a 500m private beach and a soothing spa with personalised holistic treatments.
Restaurants on the island you must try include the likes of The Spaniel and The Pods. Other frequented spots here include the funky hangout Brass Monkey and Italian-inspired restaurant Alici.
The island is family-friendly with venues such as indoor play venue Tr88house promising fun for the kids, illusion City – where nothing is as it seems, as well as world-famous wax attraction Madame Tussauds, providing plenty of Instagrammable moments for everyone.
If you plan to explore beyond the island, look no further than just over the pedestrian link bridge. With a scenic stroll less than 300 metres, it's a convenient way to travel between The Beach and Bluewaters. At Jumeirah Beach Residences, you'll find plenty of sun-drenched restaurants and cafes, thrilling watersport activities, as well as hotels to stay in.
How to get to Bluewaters Island
- Metro & Bus: Take the Red Line (for example, from Emirates Towers Metro Station or Ibn Battuta Metro Station) towards JBR and get off at Jabal Ali Metro Station. Then, ride bus F57 from Jebel Ali Metro Bus Stop Landside to the Bluewaters Island 1 stop.
- Water taxi: You can also take the Dubai Metro Red Line and get off at DMCC Metro Station. Walk to Dubai Marina Mall Marine Transport Station (around 15 minutes) and board the water taxi BM3 to Bluewaters Marine Transport Station.

Alternatively, if you prefer driving, get on Sheikh Zayed Rd/E11, for example if you are coming from Downtown Dubai, and head towards Jebel Ali. Once you have passed Dubai Marina Mall, take exit 29 and follow signs to Bluewaters Island. Get a preview of your entire trip on Google Maps.
