The public viewing area is the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. The restaurants and hotels on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Souk Al Bahar, Dubai Opera and The Dubai Mall Promenade are also available for dining reservations.

Do I need to register to enter Downtown Dubai?

If you have reservations at venues in Downtown Dubai, please reach out to the restaurant, hotel or caf&eacute; directly and they will inform you of procedures on the night and the requirement of wristbands for access. If you are watching from the public viewing areas of Downtown Dubai, there are no entry requirements, however attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I drive to the area and will there be parking?

The roads in Downtown Dubai will be closed from 6pm on New Year’s Eve. Parking will be available at Dubai Mall until capacity is reached. Parking spaces fill up fast, so guests are urged to arrive early. Road closure times are expected to be lifted between 1-2am on 1 January.

How can I get to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard?

There will be five access points across Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard for visitors to access the area:

• Gate 1: Behind Downtown Command Centre
• Gate 2: Behind Burj Vista
• Gate 3: Near Emaar Square, adjacent to Boulevard Plaza Building
• Gate 4: Opposite Address Boulevard
• Gate 5: Opposite Address Downtown

Can I use public transport to reach Downtown Dubai?

Guests are encouraged to use public transportation before 4pm to avoid road closure disruptions during the New Year's Celebrations. Shuttle buses from stations will transport you to the venue. If driving, arrive early, ideally before 5pm and consider carpooling for a better experience. Check RTA schedules for post-event travel.

Every year thousands of visitors gather in Downtown Dubai to experience the spectacular New Year's celebration. Along with a colourful fireworks display, Burj Khalifa will also be illuminated by a record-breaking laser show along with a synchronised performance by The Dubai Fountain.
