Deira Creekside
Deira Creekside runs alongside the stretch of Dubai Creek that divides the city's older neighbourhoods of Bur Dubai and Deira. The creek that we know today was constructed in 1961, although it has been the lifeline of the area for centuries, serving as Dubai's main connection to the rest of the world.
Now the inlet is a representation of Dubai's rich heritage as a port city. You will be in awe of the gorgeous sunsets over the water, colourful criss-cross of the passing abra and dhow boats, and the hustle and bustle of merchants near the Dhow Wharfage.
Things to do in Deira Creekside
Among the many landmarks along the banks of the busy waterway is the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, which features an 18-hole tournament golf course, clubhouses, residential development and the Park Hyatt hotel.
The Spice Souk, Perfume Souk and The Gold Souk are located nearby too, making for fantastic opportunities to explore open market shops while on a stroll through the historic district. The true Dubai shopping experience is preserved here – amid the smaller discoveries and winding passageways of the souks.
