Global Village
Every year from October to April, millions flock to the ever-popular Global Village. Launched in 1997 with a series of retail kiosks, the open-air destination has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and now serves as a staple treat on Dubai's winter calendar.
Whether you’re coming for the fun fair, the food, the nightly cultural entertainment or authentic shopping, Global Village has something for everyone. The current season, on till 11 May 2025, you'll find more than 90 cultures showcasing their local products within 30 lavish pavilions, 3,500 shopping outlets, 250 dinings spots, 40,000 shows and over 175 rides, games and attractions.
Global Village – an experience for the senses
Sample delicious honey from Yemen or shop exquisite carpets from Iran and Afghanistan, argan oil from Morocco, engraved necklaces from Spain and dry fruits from Thailand. Each pavilion, from Egypt to Italy and Vietnam to Oman, transports visitors to the country through smell, taste, sounds and colourful decorations.
Indulge in a global adventure with entertainment from around the world in nightly concerts and shows, featuring artists who create a mix of wonder, music and comedy at the World Culture Stage. While thrill-seekers can keep their energy high on the daring carnival rides, foodies will want to plan a feast with a taste of international dishes at the many restaurants, cafes and street food kiosks onsite. Restaurants at Global Village that have captivated visitors include the likes of Bosnian House and Floating Market, but it's a great spot to try something new every time you visit.
Attractions at Global Village that are worth checking out include the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! 'Odditorium' which opened in December 2019. A first in the region, this museum attraction has six galleries packed with fascinating artefacts, visual oddities and interactive exhibits. This year, the family destination has added a Restaurant Plaza featuring eleven eateries serving cuisines from around the world. Other recent additions include include the Cyber City Danger Zone Stunt Show which will leave you awe-struck!
Global Village ticket prices
The cost of a Global Village weekday ticket starts at AED25 if you purchase it online. You can also buy any day tickets on their website for AED30. Entry is always free for children under three, senior citizens and people of determination and Tuesdays are reserved for families and ladies.
Global Village opening hours
Global Village's opening hours are between 4pm to 12am every day, while closing times are extended by an hour between Thursdays and Saturdays. During Ramadan, Global Village is open between 6pm to 2am every day.

How to get to Global Village
You can get to Global Village using the following public transportation options:
- Dubai Metro: There is no station connected to Global Village. However, as this is a popular destination, there are direct bus lines to Global Village from a few major metro stations on the Red Line in Dubai. These stations include Al Jafiliya, Mall of the Emirates, Centrepoint and Union (a transfer hub between Red and Green Lines).
- Bus: Routes with a stop here include 102, 103, 104 and 106. From a tourist spot like Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, the shortest journey to Global Village involves taking the metro from Sharaf DG on the Green Line to BurJuman, transferring to the Red Line and getting off at Al Jafiliya, before continuing to the destination on bus #104.
