Witness the tallest performing fountain in the world during your visit to Downtown Dubai. The Dubai Fountain offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in a captivating water, music and light experience suitable for the whole family.

Submerged within the 30-acre Burj Lake, at the foot of Dubai Mall, powerful water jets are laid out strategically over an area the length of two football pitches. The fountain jets up to 22,000 gallons of water as high as 140m in the air at any one time.

How can you experience The Dubai Fountain?

The fountains come to life every 30 minutes from 6pm until 11pm daily. And for a limited time, you can also catch afternoon shows at 1pm and 1:30pm from Saturday to Thursday as well as 2pm and 2:30pm on Fridays. The colourful, illuminated jets sway in time to a range of melodies, which will leave you spellbound. Some popular tracks include Michael Jackson's Thriller, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman's Time to Say Goodbye and Power by Korean pop band EXO.

The Dubai Fountain Boardwalk

Located at the foot of Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk allows visitors to get even closer to the spectacle. Stroll around the 272m floating platform on Burj Lake, just nine metres away from the fountains.

The Dubai Fountain Lake Ride

You can experience this wonder even closer with the Dubai Fountain Lake Ride, setting sail on Burj Lake during the water show. Relax aboard an abra (traditional wooden boat) and enjoy the best seats in the house.

How to get to The Dubai Fountain

You can reach the fountain using the below transportation options:

  • Metro: Take the Red line and get off at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station. From here, it's a 15-minute walk through Dubai Mall to The Dubai Fountain.
  • Bus: If you are coming from the World Trade Centre area, take bus line 29 from the World Trade Centre Hotel 1 stop to Dubai Mall.

Alternatively, if you're driving, get on Sheikh Zayed Rd/E11 and make your way towards Downtown Dubai. Take exit 50 for D71 and follow signs for Dubai Mall/Fashion & Grand Parking/Cinema Parking, where you can park you car. From here, it's a short walk through Dubai Mall to your destination. The Dubai Fountain is located next to Souk Al Bahar, Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, so you're spoilt for choice in terms of dining options. Time Out Market Dubai in Souk Al Bahar is a 4,000sqm food hall that houses 17 renowned homegrown eateries, including Chinese seafood concept Long Teng and renowned burger joint Pickl.
