Madinat Jumeirah

Escape to an Arabian retreat

Madinat Jumeirah is an Arabian mini-city in Dubai, comprising five-star hotels, ornate souks and beachfront hotspots.

A destination within a destination, you’ll find several grand hotels, including Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam and Jumeirah Al Naseem, alongside a cluster of traditional summerhouses at Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf and seven grand homes at Jumeirah Malakiya Villas.

There is an entire river system five kilometres in length complete with its own fleet of traditional abra boats. You can take a tour around the whole property on one of these in-house abras and stop by Souk Madinat Jumeirah along the way.

Relaxation and restaurants at Madinat Jumeirah

There are more than 50 different restaurants, nightspots and lounges at your disposal across its 40 hectares - take your pick from restaurants including Taverna Greek Kitchen, SushiYaki, Trader Vic's or Maria Bonita. Whatever your taste, there is something on site to satisfy your culinary cravings.

Guests have access to two kilometres of private beach to laze away the day under the sun if they so choose, with food and drinks on offer along with watersports equipment to use at leisure.

Inspired by an Arabian Citadel, guests at one of the on-site hotels have access to a variety of spa treatment facilities and gyms with Talise Spa and Talise Fitness, offering views over the property and also over the Gulf itself.

Nearby hotels & attractions

Close to Madinat Jumeirah are more hotels that are part of the Jumeirah family, including the iconic Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, both of which are excellent spots to stay but also dine in.

For a great day out with friends and family, no matter what the weather, head to Wild Wadi Waterpark for either a spot of relaxation or a shot of adrenalin. Slightly further down is the free to visit Kite Beach, where visitors can indulge in thrilling watersports, delicious bites and fun in the sun. For some indoor fun, Ski Dubai offers snow enthusiasts to ski, build a snowman or just roll down the hills. There's even a chairlift for an authentic skiing experience.

Opening hours and best time to visit

If you're visiting the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, the shops are open between 10am until 11pm, while the restaurants are open from 8am until 2am - although it's best to check with whichever outlet you're interested in visiting. For any of the restaurants within the hotels in Madinat Jumeirah, check with the venues for opening timings.

For a relatively less crowded experience, mornings and early afternoons are the best time to visit but watch the mini-city come alive in the evenings, especially after sunset.
