Michelin dining in Dubai

The prestigious Michelin Guide has recognised Dubai as a world gastronomic destination of note. The emirate's enviable culinary reputation is sprinkled with innovative dining experiences, hidden neighbourhood gems, and creative menus that reflect Arabian traditions, world flavours and new-age fusion – all to delicious effect.

After the renowned success of the previous guides in 2022 and 2023, we welcome the third edition for 2024, showcasing Dubai’s exceptional restaurants once again. A selection of restaurants were awarded Bib Gourmand distinction, highlighting the outlet’s impressive value for money, while others have been awarded with one or two Michelin Stars – the ultimate distinction in culinary excellence.

The city is renowned for its playful contrast of old and new, which is also well represented in its dining scene where heritage-infused Emirati cuisine is celebrated alongside trendy international fare.

Michelin also honours members of the gastronomy industry with special awards, such as the Service Award, Young Chef Award and Opening of the Year. Additionally, the Michelin Green Star celebrates the sustainability efforts of awarded restaurants.

The stars are awarded only to eateries that are judged by Michelin Inspectors to be of particularly high standard, and it's unanimously respected by both chefs and gourmands around the world. Here are all the restaurants honoured in the Michelin Guide Dubai 2024.

Dubai is the latest addition to the Michelin Guide, which currently covers 36 destinations across North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Europe. With a rich tradition that dates back over 120 years, the Michelin rating criteria for restaurants takes into account five key considerations:

1. The quality of ingredients

2. The mastery of cooking techniques

3. The personality of the chef represented in the dining experience

4. The harmony of flavours

5. The consistency in the menu and between inspectors’ visits.
